Infant and Family Sleep – Specialist vs. Professional: What is the Difference?

Infant sleep is a huge concern for most parents, and if you work with babies and young children, either as a doula or another type of health professional, you can probably testify that there are a lot of questions surrounding this topic.

Questions such as:

  • “Is bed sharing dangerous?”
  • “Does the ‘cry it out’ method actually work?”
  • “Am I holding my baby too much?” or,
  • “How many hours should my baby sleep?”

Sometimes being asked these questions can be nerve-wracking, especially if you’re not sure you have the right answer, or are at risk of giving the wrong advice.

That’s why we now offer two courses specializing in infant sleep, facilitated by our very own neuroscientist doula, Dr. Greer Kirshenbaum.

Both of these courses provide evidence-based education about the incredibly unique infant brain and how sleep affects it.

But which course is the right one for you? What is the Difference between the Infant and Family Sleep  Specialist vs. Professional? We’re going to break it down for you:
