Coco Doula Rianna Bailey Bebo Mia Student
Here at bebo mia inc we LOVE our student community and we are committed to creating lasting bonds with all of our students.  A BIG part of our training is business mentorship, and making sure our students feel supported as they embark on the next step in laying the foundations for their #doulabiz!

Today on the blog we catch up with Rianna, owner and CEO of The Coco Doula and ask her 5 questions about life after class!

1. What have you been most proud of so far as you set up your business?

I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve allowed myself to dive into something I love and go full force. This little passion for women’s health just developed into a full fledged business in the amount of months and I’m so grateful!

2. What does your typical day look like as a professional doula?

A typical day has been consisting of primarily postpartum support which has been so eye opening and amazing in itself. Answering phone calls from new mommas, helping them have “me time”, being that bridge to help them get comfortable in their new beautiful role. I recently started Traditional Chinese Medical school as well to really grow my scope within my practice and create this full circle of health care services.

3. How has being part of an online network of doulas been helpful to you after class was over?

It has been beyond amazing. Thanks to the bebo mia Facebook Groups, I literally have a group of doulas I can go to for real support and get questions answered quickly and also be able to offer the same to others.

4. What big plans do you have on the horizon for your business?

My big plan is to open a space where I can not only preform my Coco Doula Consults but, also hold Child birth Education Classes, practice Traditional Chinese Medicine and host “Self Care” Sessions. I want to be able to create this community where ANYONE regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or financial “status” can be part of a community where they are loved, respected, and supported.

5. How have you been prepping to take your MSP final exam?

I have been going through the material often, I still have some quizzes to complete but my goal is to have that completed before thanksgiving!

I am Rianna! I am an Army veteran who always saw myself in the healthcare field and found myself on the path to become a Marriage and Family Counsellor. After years of trials and tribulations with my “traditional educational path”, I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I used the time in my “double” senior year to really figure out what I was most passionate about and how I could marry the fields of families, women’s health, mental health, and education into one and that’s when Coco Doula took shape and took over! Currently I am in my first year of Oriental Medical School where I am learning Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I hope to add these Modalities into my Doula Practice to offer a full circle Holistic approach to women’s health!
