The 16 training modules include fertility, pregnancy loss and abortion support, anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, tests and procedures, comfort measures, fetal positioning, the epidural, C-section birth and special circumstances, the doula’s role in immediate postpartum and newborn assessment, postpartum care and babywearing, infant feeding, working with clients, infant sleep and mental wellness, and the full business side of building a sustainable practice. It is live and it is built for real learning
Every class is live. Every class is also recorded for all learning styles and for days when life does not work out for you to join class. Inside one semester you receive 18 live core classes, 15 practicum-based breakout sessions to apply skills in real time, structured business intensives, live office hours for case consultation, 20 guest experts expanding your clinical and political literacy, facilitated group therapy sessions for emotional sustainability, book club discussions, and birth video analysis sessions to sharpen your observational skills.

It covers what most programs completely skip
The birth landscape in 2026 requires preparation that most doula training programs were not built to provide.
bebo mia explicitly covers reproductive justice literacy, fatphobia in healthcare, queer conception and the modern family, disability justice, pregnancy loss, abortion care, medical coercion and how to recognize and respond to it in real time, and the political realities that shape the birth spaces your clients will be in.
