Doula Awards That Support Real Change

At bebo mia, we believe that strong doula training creates stronger communities. Our full spectrum doula training supports students in becoming birth doulas, postpartum doulas, fertility doulas, and more, with a focus on both care and business. We’ve awarded over $500,000 in doula scholarships and doula awards to make this work more accessible. This post shares the experience of one of our scholarship recipients and their journey through online doula training.

Hi, my name is Cloey Parker. I’m incredibly grateful and honored to be one of the recipients of the bebo mia scholarship and to begin this journey into birthwork.

Early Influences

From a young age, I’ve always felt a deep sense of empathy and care for others. Supporting people during vulnerable moments has always felt natural to me, even before I understood what doula work was.

Discovering Birthwork

As I learned more about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences, I became increasingly aware of how important compassionate support can be during these moments. I realized that birthwork offers a powerful opportunity to help families feel seen, heard, and supported.

Why This Work Matters to Me

The more I explored the role of doulas, the more I felt drawn to this work. Being able to provide emotional support, education, and reassurance during such an important life transition feels incredibly meaningful.

What the Scholarship Means

Receiving the bebo mia scholarship means so much to me. It gives me the opportunity to pursue training that will help me build the skills and knowledge needed to support families in my community.

Looking Ahead

I’m excited to learn, grow, and step into this role with intention and compassion. My hope is to create supportive spaces where families feel empowered and respected throughout their birth experiences.
