I did that 😭✨ story time 👇🏼
I chose to labour mostly at home so when I get to the hospital, that I’m ready to just push this baby out
Turns out, Kobe was sunny side up so we had to help him turn. Thank god for my doula @momothedoula
And once he didn oh my God. The intensity went to a whole new level.
There was a point where I broke. I begged for medication. I begged for the epidural.
I remember crying and saying, “I can’t do this anymore.”
But by the time I asked… it was too late.
And in that moment, something shifted.
I realized this was it. No way out, only through.
So I surrendered. Fully. I stopped fighting the pain and started working with it.
Me and Kobe we had to do this together.
And that became my only focus, to get him here. and get him here safely.
I tapped into a strength I didn’t know I had.
And I proved to myself… I can do hard shit!!
My doula was everything truly, I wouldn’t have made it through without her.
My nurse Lynn, she’s was amazing!
And my husband… you were right there, every breath, every squeeze, every contraction.
He caught our son. He cut the cord. He held me when I didn’t think I could keep going.
And we did it. Together. No meds. No interventions. Just trusting in myself and a whole lot of surrendering
Recovery has been so much smoother this time around… and I’m just so proud. Of my body. Of my baby. Of this birth. Of what we did. 😭❤️✨
