About the Community Care Co-op

The Prenatal Appointment Calculator will help doulas know exactly what date to book prenatal appointments based on the estimated due date (EDD).

You can use the standard settings (2 prenatals at week 32 and 36) or put in custom dates and prenatal number.

Do you meet on different weeks? Use the custom calculator to put the weeks you prefer your meetings to be!

This was a tool we wished we had after we finished our doula training... so, we built it!

Why this exists

Let’s be real: people are tired. Lonely. Stressed. Carrying way too much.

The internet is loud and confusing, burnout is treated like a personal failure, and “community” often gets replaced with networking, hustle, and one more thing to optimize. No wonder everything feels so heavy.

Across our community, we keep hearing the same thing:
People are craving real connection.
Not productivity. Not pressure.
Care. Fun. Ease. Being human together.

Women and queer folks are especially feeling the squeeze of systems that don’t support us. And many doulas and care workers are under-resourced, under-trained, and isolated in work that is meant to be shared.

The Community Care Co-op exists because we believe:

  • community is care

  • learning can be nourishing

  • healing doesn’t have to be hidden or expensive

  • joy is not a luxury

Fun together is how we survive and thrive.
This is us putting our values into practice.

What the Community Care Co-op Is

The Community Care Co-op is a series of free and pay-what-you-can, community-centered workshops and gatherings hosted inside the bebo mia ecosystem.

Think of it as a cozy, creative, skill-building commons.

Sessions include a mix of:

  • practical how-to skills for real life and real work

  • grounding and healing spaces like yoga, breathwork, art, and reflection

  • playful, creative gatherings that invite rest, laughter, and connection

Every session is designed to be accessible, welcoming, and low-pressure.
Come exactly as you are. No fixing required.

How it works

  • All Community Care Co-op sessions are free to attend

  • Participants are invited to contribute pay what you can

  • Every dollar goes directly to the bebo mia scholarship fund

Those funds support education and training for no- and low-income women and queer folks in 2026 and beyond.

Instructors are invited to:

  • share their work

  • connect with aligned people

  • let participants know how to keep learning or working together if it feels right

No hard selling. Just genuine connection.

Our Goals

The Community Care Co-op has four simple, powerful goals:

  1. Reduce isolation by creating consistent spaces where people can gather and feel seen

  2. Increase access to learning and healing for folks priced out of traditional offerings

  3. Redistribute resources so education isn’t reserved for the few

Model a different way of doing business, rooted in care, reciprocity, and community impact

What We Stand For

The Co-op is grounded in the same values that guide all of bebo mia:

  • Care work matters

  • Community is not optional. It’s essential

  • Women and queer folks deserve education without debt or burnout

  • Healing and skill-building belong together

  • Instructors deserve ethical visibility, aligned clients, and fair exchange

  • Mutual aid and education can (and should) work side by side

Looking Ahead to 2026

The Community Care Co-op is part of our long-term commitment to building sustainable, values-led education and community.

In 2026, this initiative will directly support:

  • expanded scholarships

  • deeper community programming

  • more accessible pathways into education

Our goal is to fund four additional MSP program spots for no- and low-income folks.

This isn’t a one-off project.
It’s a practice.
An offering.
A way of showing up again and again.

With Care

The Community Care Co-op is an invitation.

To teach.
To learn.
To rest.
To play.
To make friends.
To remember you’re not doing this alone.

This is how we build the world we want to live in.

Together 💛
