Laura Antonello’s Empowering Journey to Becoming a Doula with Bebo Mia’s Scholarship

Sovereign Women – her Mantra

For as long as I can remember I have always been a sovereign women” – A statement so simple yet so strong. This is my morning mantra as I stand at the gas stove to heat the water on my families off grid homestead, high in the mountains of South Island, New Zealand. I am a mama of two enchanting children with our third on our way. My partner and I, along with our children are homesteading our way to our souls truths. 

Her journey of life led her to Bebo Mia

My journey of life has brought me to apply for the amazing opportunity of learning with Bebo Mia (a community who so strongly supports women to their absolute entirety). I spent my 20’s studying, I went from herbal medicine, Ayurveda, clinical Pilates, learning the ins and outs to women’s life force, to nutrition – I often felt I would favour whatever trend was popular at the time and felt lost with which one would help… I’m sure this flighty change from one to another was quickly received to many around me “that she doesn’t know her vision or direction in life”.

But as I found Bebo Mia and on the journey to empowering my third pregnancy and birth – I now know with this background of knowledge I am here to serve women in their most powerful, vulnerable & beautiful time of their lives.

The call to innovate connecting knowledge

My love for high vibrational food and plant medicine is my passion. With the support and trust of Bebo Mia, I wish to create a program combining traditional methods and modern knowledge to show mothers how to create gardens producing nutritional food, herbs & flowers. Teaching them the way to sovereignty – the way their grandmother ancestors once did. This program would be a compliment to me connecting with those who need my services journey and beyond pregnancy. 

I’m so honoured to be given this opportunity to be apart of the Maternal Support Practitioner Program. I can’t wait to connect with you all.
