I am a trained birth and postpartum doula through Bebo Mia and a licensed master social worker in the Philadelphia, PA area. While working at a non-profit organization focused on pregnancy services, I learned about doula work and discovered my passion for providing education, resources, and emotional support to pregnant women, their partners, and babies. I feel that my experience as a social worker (particularly in the areas of advocacy, empowerment, social justice, evidence-based practices, connections to resources, and mental health) serves as a strong foundation to my role as a doula! Some of the areas I focus on as a doula include providing education and screening for perinatal mood & anxiety disorders, evidence-based birth options, supporting women who desire an un-medicated birth, and helping fathers feel more prepared for providing birth support. I am also familiar with hypnobirthing. More than anything, I want to help expectant parents thrive throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum!
